Welcome to my page!

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Ron Hibble and I am running for Nevada Assembly in District 36. I spent 40 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and am endorsed by many major law enforcement and peace officer organizations. I am a decorated combat veteran; I served in two wars and worked in special operations and airborne reconnaissance.

During the late ‘80s while I was in the Reserves, I was elected City Treasurer of Fontana California. During those four years, I discovered and exposed criminal activity and financial misappropriation at the city government level that led to a large-scale reorganization of city policy and staffing. Shortly thereafter, I was called back to active duty.

After serving in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, I got my bachelor’s degree in Communications from UNLV and settled in Pioche. I have managed a number of small businesses and know what it takes to run a business – and how to balance a budget. I know the hard choices that employers have to make and I also understand the plight of the thousands of Nevadans searching for work in this tough economy.

I am a conservative democrat but I’m focused on problems that are non-partisan. If you are one of the thousands of Nevadans needing a job, I doubt you much care which party gives it to you. If your home is in foreclosure, the banks don’t care what party you belong to. If you need a doctor in rural Nevada, they don’t ask you what party you belong to before they decide whether or not to put a clinic in your neighborhood. And if you believe in protecting natural resources like water and Gold Butte and Red Rock, the canyons and pristine pathways don’t care what party you belong to. The only thing we care about is getting the job done and I am the right man for the job.

I am focused on job growth, economic diversification, and education reform. I also see the need to link those things together. I believe Nevada can be the international leader in the development and exportation of sustainable, green energy sources and believes the creation of those jobs must be done in ways that respect our natural resources and protect our environment. I am tough on crime and a strong supporter of 2nd amendment rights. I FOUGHT for that right and all the other rights we enjoy today.

I am a member of the Lincoln and Pioche Chambers of Commerce, and active in numerous veteran and philanthropic organizations. You can find out more about me at my website: or if you want to talk to him directly, feel free to call me directly. I’d appreciate your vote for me, Ron Hibble, Nevada Assembly in District 36.
